How do I sharpen and replace the blades?

1. Gently prop the mower on its left side with the housing up – do not allow the unit to lay on its side
2. Loosen each of the blade’s bolts underneath the deck to remove the blade
3. Use a file to sharpen the cutting blades and file the top left side only. Try to maintain the original level of the blade for the finest cutting edge.
4. Ensure that both ends of the blade have been filed in order to maintain the blade’s balance. If the blade has been bent or dented by collisions with rocks or other objects, it will need to be replaced.
5. Clear out the region around the blade of any dirt or grass clippings
6. Re-install the blade and tighten each of the nut securely.
