How do I start and stop the engine?

1. Turn the fuel valve to the ‘ON’ position
2. Turn the main engine switch to the ‘ON’ position
3. Lightly tug the starter rope out until you sense a mild resistance – at this point, pull the rope briskly towards yourself. Do not allow the rope to snap back on its own, return it to position by hand
4. Locate and push the button on the Roto-Stop lever, while pushing the lever forward quickly – ensure that you hold it against the handle bar when you’re doing this. If the lever isn’t pulled quickly enough, the engine may stall.
5. To stop the engine, turn the engine switch to the OFF position
